NATIONAL® Standard Bentonite and NATIONAL® Premium Bentonite are used as a binder in high temperature furnace cements, mortars, and furnace gun mixtures. Both are used as a suspension agent in glazes and porcelain enamels and a plasticizer in whitewares for electrical porcelain bodies, floor tile, wall tile, and sanitaryware for increased green strength, fired strength, and to reduce absorption.   NATIONAL® Bentonite is offered in a variety of grades for broad application use.
